Environmental Stewardship

Our Environmental Stewardship programs have made Kaiser Permanente a prominent national leader in the growing movement to promote environmental accountability and sustainability among health care organizations. Our priority environmental initiatives include sustainable farming and food choices; safe alternatives to harmful chemicals; responding to climate change; reducing waste; and conserving water. On each of these fronts, we have adopted aggressive targets and innovative strategies for creating a greener, healthier, more sustainable health care enterprise for our own communities and the entire nation.
