OUR MISSION

Kaiser Permanente’s mission is to provide high-quality, affordable health care services, and to improve the health of our members
and the communities we serve
.

2009 marked one of the most challenging years for millions of Americans. In response, we expanded our Community Benefit support in this time of need. That’s where our hearts took us, and it was the right place to be.

We hope this report will help you learn more about our programs, the impact they had on our communities last year and our continued efforts as we move forward.

At the same time, these same organizations faced budget cuts caused by shrinking charitable donations and reduced state and local revenues.

We faced economic uncertainties ourselves, but rather than scale back our efforts, we increased the scope of our activities.
