Our Environmental Awards

As evidence of the success of Kaiser Permanente's environmental stewardship strategies and the enthusiastic engagement of employee "green teams," our initiatives in waste reduction and pollution prevention earned 18 separate awards in 2010 from Practice Greenhealth, a global conference for environmental leaders in health care.

And for our work toward reducing global warming and air pollution in California, we were awarded the Clean Air Award (Leadership Category) in 2010 by Breathe California, which declared that Kaiser Permanente is “serving as a model for the health care industry.” The award, which honors organizations that are implementing initiatives to reduce global warming and air pollution, reflects Kaiser Permanente’s long-standing commitment to protect and create healthy environments.
