The majority of our regional grantmaking is initiated by Kaiser Permanente to address identified community needs. On a smaller scale, we are also able to respond to some grant requests from our communities for programs serving three or more service areas.
If your organization is seeking a grant for a program that fits within our current priorities, please submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) application. Please understand that our thoughtful and extensive review process can take four to six months to complete.
To be eligible for a Regional Community Benefit grant, an applicant organization (or fiscal agent) must have operations in California, provide programs to vulnerable populations, and be one of the following types of nonprofit organizations:
A local grant supports an organization in one specific area, such as Fresno. These grants are administered by Kaiser Permanente's 13 local Community Benefit programs throughout Northern California. To apply for a local Community Benefit grant or sponsorship for a program in one service area, please visit the Community Benefit site for your local area.
If you are seeking a regional sponsorship for an event that serves three or more service areas, please visit our Sponsorships page.
