Beginning in 2012, Kaiser Permanente is expanding our services into the Northern Colorado service area. This includes opening new medical offices in the cities of Fort Collins, Loveland, and Greeley, and an administrative office in Loveland.
As the state’s largest not-for-profit health plan, Kaiser Permanente is committed to improving the health of our members and the Colorado communities we serve. As we expand into Northern Colorado communities, we will also look to help improve health and overall vitality by investing the time, expertise, and resources our physicians and employees to help address the most pressing health and social concerns in our Northern Colorado counties, cities, and neighborhoods. Some of our efforts in 2012 include:
- A Kaiser Permanente volunteer contingent helped to refurbish the GLBT Center’s new Fort Collins location.
- Providing donations to the American Red Cross to support wildfire relief efforts.
- Sponsoring community events such as the United Way of Larimer County’s State of the Community, Larimer County Fair, Loveland Corn Roast, Loveland Community Classic Bike Tour, and the Greeley Stampede.
- Working with the Greeley Farmers Market to double the value of the funding through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
- Donating automated external defibrillators to the Greeley Fire Department.
- Our Educational Theatre Programs is working with Colorado State University and Poudre School District to provide programming in Fort Collins and Loveland.
- We have been working with the Sunrise Community Health Center to implement an innovative medicine regimen to reduce cardiovascular risk for the center’s diabetic patients.
- Launched the Weigh and Win program, which provides financial incentives for Coloradans to achieve a healthy weight, and includes participation from Fort Collins and Greeley residents.
