Employee community involvement
Our employees, physicians, and dentists are actively involved in giving back and shaping their communities for the better. Kaiser Permanente programs give staff opportunities to connect to the causes they care about and to get involved — be it through annual giving campaigns, volunteerism, nationally recognized days of community service, or leadership on community nonprofit boards.

Kaiser Permanente Cares Volunteer Program
We have a vision of making volunteerism contagious among our staff in the Northwest Region. Volunteerism is a great way to help community organizations better meet their resource needs, and our employees reap the personal benefits of community involvement greater confidence, less stress, and a stronger support network. The KP Cares program and website enable staff to search for volunteer opportunities, receive notifications of volunteer opportunities that fit their profile, lead volunteer activities, and invite other colleagues, family, and friends to join them. Kaiser Permanente Gives — Volunteer Grant Program
We are proud of our employees, physicians, and dentists who volunteer in communities where they live and work. To show our support, Kaiser Permanente established the Kaiser Permanente Gives — Volunteer Grant Program. This program makes $5,000 to $15,000 grants available to qualified charitable organizations to which Kaiser Permanente employees and clinicians donate their time. Employees, click here to learn more. Kaiser Permanente Community Giving Campaign
Each fall, Kaiser Permanente employees can maximize personal donations to community organizations through the Kaiser Permanente Community Giving Campaign. Private donations to any community organization of the employee’s choosing — locally, regionally, nationally, or internationally — are matched with company dollars. In recent years, our employees have raised nearly $900,000 annually for community organizations in need.
