Kaiser Permanente has been serving the Southern Colorado area since 1997 including some overlap into portions of Pueblo County. In recent years we have expanded our insurance plans further into Pueblo and Fremont counties, opened new Kaiser Permanente medical offices, provided members with more options for care, and invested and gotten involved in Southern Colorado communities more than ever before.
Members in Southern Colorado enjoy a care delivery model that combines the community network model with the Kaiser Permanente integrated model. While this delivery model is unique, it simply combines three things the Colorado Region has done successfully for years—deliver efficient, effective, patient-centered care in Kaiser Permanente medical office buildings and administer a successful community network model, and invest in and advance community health and vitality.
Like the Denver/Boulder service area, Southern Colorado invests the time, expertise, and resources our physicians and employees to help address the most pressing health and social concerns in our counties, cities, and neighborhoods. In 2011, Kaiser Permanente Colorado, including the Southern Colorado service area, invested $89 million in our community programs and efforts.
