Letter from Our Leaders
As we reflect on 2010 and plan for the year ahead, we see communities that continue to be challenged by a weak economy and many people in need. At the same time, a glimmer of relief is emerging. With the progress being made on many health-related fronts—including the legislation to enact Health Care Reform and a national spotlight on the issue of childhood obesity—we see a future where all people have a chance to make healthy choices, regardless of where they live.
Kaiser Permanente is both honored and proud to be part of the positive change taking place. We are happy to share our expertise and knowledge, and grateful for the opportunity to learn from other organizations that are working to improve the health of our communities. We believe that by working together, we can make a greater impact and find solutions to the complex health issues facing our communities.
In these interactive pages, we invite you to read about and experience the change happening in Northern California, and to hear directly from those who are making health a reality for more people.
