Since 2004 Kaiser Permanente has invested more than $21 million in innovative programs that are transforming the places where people live, work, learn, and play to create environments that protect and promote health and safety. In 2011 we launched our new $10 million HEAL Zones initiative to make healthy eating and active living more accessible in neighborhoods hardest hit by obesity.
