In 2006, Kaiser Permanente investigators participated in 2,079 research and evaluation studies, more than any other non-academic institution in the United States. Our investigators benefit from access to a large, stable, representative population of Kaiser Permanente members and information systems that automatically capture patient demographics, clinical process measures, and clinical endpoints, so data is timely and relevant.
