Improving health care access for those with limited incomes and resources is fundamental to our mission. We help make health care affordable to the uninsured and underserved through our Charitable Health Coverage programs and Medical Financial Assistance programs, and we assist others in public programs like Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
We believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality health care. For many low-income people without medical insurance or for those who lose their jobs and are unable to maintain health care coverage, an emergency room is often the only place they receive the care they need. We're working to change that with programs that lower financial barriers, provide free or deeply subsidized health coverage, and improve access to public health care programs.
In addition to helping individuals qualify for state or federal insurance programs, we help our communities through the Charitable Health Coverage and Medical Financial Assistance programs to provide direct care, at low or no cost, to uninsured individuals.
