Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center began serving the Southeast Los Angeles County in 1965. We currently provide are for more than 300,000 throughout the service area. More than 4,500 staff members and 698 physicians care for our members at our hospital and medical offices.
The 352 bed, full-service hospital replaced Kaiser Permanente's Bellflower Medical Center, located approximately one mile to the south, which opened 44 years ago in 1965.
