Headline: Deductible Plans

Estimating your costs

Part of getting the most out of your deductible plan is knowing how much and when you can expect to pay for services. When you have an idea of what you’ll pay before and after your visit, you’ll feel more confident about getting the care you need to stay healthy.

Before your visit—Understand your plan

View your benefit summary to find detailed information about your plan benefits, including deductible, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximum.

Call us if you have questions about your plan benefits. Contact Membership Services at 503-813-2000, Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

For certain scheduled services, Pre-registration staff may contact you with a pre-service estimate for your service based on the information we have at that time, and provide options for payment. Or, try our Estimates tool to get an idea of how much your visit may cost.

With our online Estimates tool you can get a personalized estimate of what you’ll need to pay for more than 300 common exams, tests, and procedures. Watch this short video to see how it works. Estimates are based on your plan benefits and whether you’ve met your deductible.

To use this secure feature, you’ll need to be registered on our website.

If you can’t get an estimate for a particular service with our Estimates tool, call the Membership Services number on the back of your Kaiser Permanente ID card, and we’ll assist you.

After your visit—the Explanation of Benefits

With our Explanation of Benefits, you can see how close you are to meeting your deductible and out-of-pocket maximum. That way, you'll have a better idea of whether you'll pay a copay, coinsurance, or deductible payment the next time you get care.

Your Explanation of Benefits will be mailed to you.
